Like any decent resort with a rich history, in 1982 Truskavets acquired its own Museum. And, symbolically, this museum is located in the historic villa "Sariush", built in 1901 in the Art Nouveau style with elements of Moorish architecture. : ))
The exposition is located on 2 floors: at the bottom there are exhibits from the history of the city since the first mention of it in the 15th century and further development in the process of passing from hand to hand by Czech, Polish, Austrian and other owners.
Separately, the features of the culture of the local population - boykov are presented. The museum houses dishes (clay, glass, wood), embroideries, millstones, spinning wheels, carved caskets, chests, etc.
I liked most of all the part devoted to the formation and development of the resort from the moment the first 8 therapeutic baths were opened in 1827 and further at the end of the 19th century.
when the resort acquired a pan-European significance and rose to the level of such well-known counterparts as Wiesbaden or Bad Reichenhall. It is also interesting to look at the rapid development of Truskavets at the beginning of the 20th century, when the city was transferred to the management of a joint-stock company under the leadership of Raymond Yarosh, thanks to which it was fully electrified, landscaped, acquired a new station that connected Truskavets with Vienna, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw and Berlin . All this is very funny to compare with the current look of the resort city. ; )))
Temporary exhibitions are open on the 2nd floor of the Museum and in the annex. At the time of our visit, these were the Exhibition of Models of Famous World Landmarks and Kryivka, which tells about the history of UPA soldiers.
As a result, I will say this - the Museum of the History of Truskavets cannot be attributed to the mandatory must-see, but if you are here and there is nothing for you to do, except for the consumption of Naftusya, then spend an hour and a half looking at historical sights for little money possibly.
Practical information: located at Truskavets, pl. Sich Riflemen, 14, +38 (03247.5-22-37, open: 10:00-18:00, close - Sat. Two tickets for all exhibitions cost us about 25 UAH.
