Initially, in 1859 it was built as a Roman Catholic chapel of St. Kunegunda - the patron saint of salt mines and mines. Considering that salt mining has long been carried out in neighboring Drohobych, and the name Truskavets according to one version comes from the Lithuanian "druska" - "salt", the construction of such a chapel is very clear. During the rapid growth of the resort in the early twentieth century. the chapel was also expanded - it became the modern Church of the Virgin Mary. In Soviet times, there was a planetarium here, and now the Church has once again become a functioning church, where worship is conducted in Polish and Ukrainian.→
