Mikhail Bilas Art Museum

The Mikhail Bilas Art Museum is located next to the Lviv Chocolate Workshop. It was opened in 2 1992. The museum occupies a beautiful three-storey wooden building of the villa "Goplyana". Here are the works of the outstanding master of applied art Mikhail Bilas - tapestries, embroideries, panels, carpets and many other author's works.

There is nothing to do inside.

A chic-looking building from the outside, inside was killed by a "European-style renovation" and they offer for 5 hryvnias to see the "tabloid" work of local artists.→

Unexpectedly impressive place

Opened in 1992 at another historic villa in Truskavets - Villa "Goplyana", built in 1925-1928 in the so-called "Zakopane" style without a single nail and was at that time the summer residence of the resort director Raymond Yarosh. To this day, there is a stained glass window on the second floor of the villa, created in 1925 by Polish masters. Although Mikhail Bilas was born in 1924 in Ivano-Frankivsk region, his family later moved to Lviv region, and the master spent the last years of his life in Truskavets (the artist died recently - in January 2016).→
