Chapel of St. Panteleimon
Chapel of St. Panteleimon
Ukraine, Truskavets
The Orthodox chapel of the Great Martyr St. Panteleimon is located in the courtyard of the Yantar sanatorium in Truskavets. Panteleimon devoted his existence to the poor, the sick and the suffering, of whom he is the patron. When Panteleimon converted to Christianity, on July 27, 305, Emperor Maximilian martyred the healer because he refused to sacrifice to idols. Saint Panteleimon's Day is celebrated on August 9th.
A small but cozy chapel, with large windows, was built of wood in the "Carpathian" style. The temple is open around the clock.
