The round courtyard in Trostyanets was built by the landowner Osip Nadarzhinsky in 1749 and consists of four three-story round towers connected along the perimeter by a high brick wall, with an entrance decorated with a figured arch. The round yard was originally built as an equestrian arena, stylized as a medieval fortress. In 1831, the estate passed into the possession of Prince Golitsyn, who installed three-tier boxes in the courtyard and adapted the fortress for a summer theater and circus. During the Soviet era, the Round Yard was used as a dwelling, then as a warehouse, and was brought to ruin. In 2007, the architectural monument was repaired and nominated for the Seven Wonders of Ukraine competition.
In 2010, night lighting was installed around the perimeter of the building. Adjacent to the Round Court is a park with
Golitsyn's Palace.
