The castle in Zalozhtsy was built in the 16th century and belonged to the Potocki magnates. It was of great importance and was the scene of battles during the Liberation, Polish-Turkish and Northern Wars. Also at various times it housed a cloth factory and a brewery.
Now there are ruins left of the castle, part of the walls and the corner tower have been preserved.
