The Venetian or Italian courtyard - the courtyard of an old building on the corner of Shevchenko and Kachala streets in Ternopil - is a popular tourist attraction. The courtyard got its name for its characteristic Italian-style design with an arcade and a portal with four columns. At various times, the house housed a hostel, a library, a museum of the "People's School" society, a women's gymnasium, and one of the regional departments. The state of the architectural highlight of the city is unsightly and requires immediate repair. Part of the courtyard was restored for the summer terrace of the famous Bunkermuz restaurant-gallery.
