The ruins of the castle are located in the northwestern part of Terebovlya on a mountain that was almost impregnable from three sides. The northern one, the most vulnerable, was protected by ditches and ramparts, which date back to pre-princely times. The length of the castle from north to south is 122 m, from east to west - 65 m. In plan, the castle has an irregular elongated shape narrowed to the south. The entrance to the castle was located in the eastern defensive wall, its thickness is small compared to others - only 2.5 m. The exit is made in the Renaissance style, near the entrance in the form of an arch - a gate. The ruins of the Terebovlya castle are the remains of the castle of Alexander Bolaban, the headman of Terebovlya, who built the castle in the 17th century. At the beginning of the 19th century, the Austrians dismantled the interior of the castle, built military barracks, which in turn were demolished in 1880.
