The Memorial of Glory in Sumy is a monument to the Unknown Soldier with steles to fallen soldiers and military equipment, built in 1975 on one of the highest points in the city - on a 30-meter slope of the Psel River. In the center of the memorial there is a bronze sculpture of a warrior with a shield and a sword in his hands, similar to the famous
monument to Alyosha in Bulgaria. On both sides of the memorial, to which a granite staircase leads, there are stone steles carved with the names of Sumy defenders who died during World War II. Next to the memorial are the best tank of the Second World War - T-34 and one of its most effective guns - a 122-millimeter howitzer. The hill on which the monument is installed is a good observation platform.
