House-Museum of A.P. Chekhov
Budinok-Museum of A.P. Chekhov
Ukraine, Sumy
House-Museum of A.P. Chekhov in Sumy was opened in the former estate of the landowner and amateur pianist Georgy Lintvarev in the urban settlement of Luka, where the writer rented a one-story outbuilding in 1888-89. Here Anton Pavlovich wrote, in addition to stories, the plays Leshy and The Seagull. The last time the writers visited one of the places of their youth was in August 1894. Due to the great interest of tourists in the museum, the interiors of the living room and dining room, guest rooms and a children's room were restored. Now the Chekhov Museum is one of the popular tourist places in Sumy.
