Skadovsk Museum of Local Lore
Skadovsky Regional Museum of History and Local Lore
Ukraine, Skadovsk
Founded in 1976, the museum is located next to the Skadovsk embankment and occupies the only surviving pre-revolutionary building in the city - a two-story mansion built in 1910. The museum has more than 70 thousand exhibits, which are located in 6 rooms, telling about the history of the city. The pride of the museum is a collection of personal belongings of a public figure and founder of the city, Sergei Skadovsky. The art gallery, as well as the exposition of one of the halls, which tells about the flora and fauna of the region, deserve special attention. At the entrance to the museum, visitors are greeted by a 1918 tractor against the backdrop of a colorful panel.
