Peter and Paul Church
Svityaz Peter and Paul Monastery
Ukraine, Shatsk
The Peter and Paul Church is located in the village of Svityaz, Shatsky District, on the shore of the lake. It was built in 1846 on the site of an old church destroyed by fire in 1834. The church has retained its appearance to this day, since, unlike other churches, it was not closed during the Soviet era.
In 2001, the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God streamed myrrh here, and a year later a monastery was founded.
