Ukraine, Savran
Savransky forest is a state landscape reserve located on the territory of the Savransky district of the Odessa region of Ukraine. It is located on the right bank of the Southern Bug River on the border of the Odessa and Kirovograd regions, a few kilometers south of the village of Savran.
It is a mixed forest, there are birch, pine, oak.
In the Dedovoy Yar of the Savran Forest there is a Gaydamak well, built approximately in 1768 by the Gaidamaks who fled from Uman - participants in the peasant uprising of 1768. Over the years, the well fell into disrepair, but was revived in 2005 by the efforts of local residents. Next to the well grows a large oak tree, which is older than the well. There are tables for more than 100 people in the clearing next to the well. Members of the Cossack community regularly meet in this place, and school excursions are held.
Since 1972, the Gaidamatsky well has been a hydrological monument of nature.
