The tomb of the Zakrevskys is one of three tombs in Europe made in the form of Egyptian pyramids, two of which are located in the Poltava region. The son of the owners of the
Zakrevsky estate — Platon and Anna — Ignatius Zakrevsky, being a Freemason and a lover of Egyptian culture, built in 1899 in Berezovaya Rudka a family tomb in the form of a pyramid — one of Freemasonry symbols. Inside the tomb was painted with quotations from the Bible and Egyptian frescoes. At the top of the pyramid, 9.5 meters high, there was a cross, and in front of the entrance was a statue of a guardian angel, brought from a trip to Egypt, in the form of the goddess Isis. The pyramid was erected near the cemetery of the Holy Trinity Church over the crypt, where several generations of the Zakrevskys rested. In 1906, while traveling in Egypt, Ignatius Zakrevsky fell ill and died. His embalmed body was brought to Berezovaya Rudka and buried in the family vault. After the revolution of 1917, the pyramid was plundered, and the remains of the deceased were scattered around the cemetery. Despite the years, the Zakrevsky pyramid withstood all the tests, in 2002 it was given the status of an architectural monument of regional significance.
