Chernobyl nuclear power plant

Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, Chornobyl NPP
Ukraine, Pripyat
The Chernobyl nuclear power plant was built in 1977. On April 26, 1986, the world's largest man-made disaster occurred here, when the 4th power unit exploded. In 2000, after the construction of a protective sarcophagus, the station was closed forever. Currently, you can get here only as part of special tourist groups, exclusively with passes.

A terrible tragedy that left behind a whole city for research and extreme tourism. If a couple of years ago it was very difficult for ordinary people to get here, now many tour operators offer to visit Chernobyl in the form of an excursion, which is good news. The place is really unusual and peculiar, and most importantly safe. Therefore, I recommend everyone to definitely visit and plunge into the past, and the younger generation to see the Soviet city of the last century.

I have long dreamed of visiting Pripyat and seeing the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. This trip turned out to be one of the most exciting in my life! Views of the once prosperous working-class city, with the most modern sports complex in the USSR, hotels, houses, parks ...everything turned into an empty wasteland in an instant. Weeds, chaotically overgrown trees, overgrown paths and silence ...the city has been empty for 32 years. Strong, very strong. I recommend a visit to anyone who loves vivid impressions.
