Museum "Zapovita" is located in the city center. It was founded in 2008. The museum is dedicated to the life and work of Taras Shevchenko and is named after his famous work. The twelve halls of the museum display works and drawings by Shevchenko, the library of his doctor and friend Kozachkovsky, as well as an exposition dedicated to the liberation war of 1648-1657.
