The Local History Museum is located in the very center of the city near the Savior Cathedral. It was created in 1976 on the basis of the Historical and Revolutionary Museum, founded 15 years earlier. The museum tells about the rich history of the city. His collection currently includes more than 44 thousand exhibits, including the Karasuk dagger of the 10th century and the Cossack boat of the 15th century.
