The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is located in the northern part of the city near the central city cemetery. It was built in 1896. The blue classical building of the temple is decorated with two golden domes, the facades are decorated with wooden carvings. In 1996 the temple was painted. Among its shrines are the relics of many Orthodox saints, including the Great Martyr Barbara.
