The cannon stands at the beginning of Primorsky Boulevard and draws almost no attention to itself. During the New Year holidays, a "garden of light sculptures" is arranged on the site around the cannon. In historical terms, the cannon is valuable because it was taken from the English frigate "Tiger", which ran aground during the bombardment of Odessa (1854) during the Crimean War. It is interesting that the ship that had run aground was destroyed by its own Anglo-French squadron, which arrived in the morning to the rescue.→
