Honestly, I got into the Odessa Literary Museum (OLM) by accident - I wanted to entertain the guests with a free visit on the last Sunday of the month. Surprisingly productive and informative time spent. Firstly, I really liked the building in which the OLM is located - this is the former palace of Prince Gagarin. There are beautiful bright spacious halls; I especially remember two rooms with elegant plaster vines on the walls. They say that earlier they were painted in different colors - one in lilac, and the other in golden. And the count spent the first half of the day in one room, and then moved to the same room but of a different color.
Secondly, the exposition itself is quite interesting, it consists of manuscripts of writers who visited Odessa at different times or lived here.
There is also some of their personal belongings, photographs, and, of course, the exposition contains many rare publications that have ever been published in South Palmyra.
Thirdly, the design of the exhibition itself is an attraction, although it is noticeable that it has not changed since at least the 80s of the last century - and this is history.
With an entrance ticket price of 55-35 UAH (the last Sunday of the month, admission is free), you can take pictures in the halls of the museum for fabulous money - 350 UAH / hour! Robbery in broad daylight! You can take a picture for free in the hall and in the main hall of the museum, which, in principle, is already quite a lot. Especially popular among tourists is the "Sculpture Garden" in the courtyard of the OLM, where you can see the monuments to Vysotsky and Zhvanetsky; for entrance there is charged a separate fee - 45 UAH. Unfortunately, the discount on the last Sunday of the month for the "Sculpture Garden" does not apply : (
