The Odessa funicular is located in the city center next to the Potemkin Stairs. It was built in 1902 and was the first funicular built in Ukraine. During its history, the funicular stopped its work three times: after the October Revolution, during the Second World War, and also from 1998 to 2005. Now it works on the ascent and descent, there are cafes and a souvenir shop at the stations.
