Since 2007, the open-air anchor museum has been located on the pier behind the
sea terminal in front of the St. Nicholas Church, near the Odessa Yacht Club. The exposition includes a collection of anchors from the former Museum of the Navy and anchors raised at different times from the bottom of the sea near the Odessa coast. Here are two dozen anchors of different types: rocker anchors made from a single piece of iron; admiralty; Hall anchor; anchor Matrosov - increased holding power; anchors - "cats", which appeared in the XIV century among the Scandinavian sailors. Explanatory signs next to the exhibits tell about the purpose of each type of anchor.
Also on the exhibition site you can see one of the guns of the 6th battery, which in 1854, during the Crimean War, repulsed the attack of the Anglo-French squadron on Odessa.
