Palace of Counts Tolstykh
Ukraine, Odesa
The Palace of Counts Tolstoy is an architectural complex of a manor and an art gallery. The count's estate was built in 1832 according to the project of the architect Boffo in the style of Russian classicism, as a two-story mansion with 12 rooms, the central of which is the oval drawing room "White Hall". Hereditary nobles lived in the estate, Count M.D. Tolstoy, then his son Count M.M. Tolstoy. In 1896-1897, a two-storey baroque art gallery with marble columns, designed by Viennese architects F. Felner and G. Gelmer, was built nearby.
In the interiors of the house, depicting the royal chambers of the Louvre, scenes from the film "D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers" were filmed, and in 1991-2005, the shooting of the TV show "Gentleman Show" took place in the estate. Since 1934, the Odessa House of Scientists has been located in the manor complex.
