The first monument to brigadier Gorich was opened in 1903, but destroyed in Stalin's times. Unique in its own way, the monument was restored in 1978.
It is a pyramid of 30 cannonballs, on top of which sits an eagle with outstretched wings. The pyramid is set on a granite pedestal, on four sides of which there are stairs of four steps. Metal commemorative plaques are attached to each side of the monument, each of which has an inscription glorifying the feat of the hero of the Russian-Turkish war of 1787-1791.
