St. Michael's Pelageevsky Convent is located on the banks of the Ingul River on the territory of the
Priingulsky Landscape Park. St. Michael's Church, built at the expense of two Durilin brothers and consecrated in 1904, consists of three side-chapels: St. Archangel Michael, the martyr Andrei Stratilates, the Monk Pelageya - in honor of their mother Pelageya Durilina, who died early from an illness. During the Soviet era, the church was looted and destroyed inside in 1932, and was used as a warehouse. In 1994, a convent was founded in the restored church.
In 2001, the icon of the 16th century “The Life-Giving Spring”, depicting the sufferings of Jesus Christ, began to be updated in the monastery - details of the picture that were not visible before began to appear on it.
