Museum of the Underground Partisan Movement
Museum of partisan-partisan movement
Ukraine, Mykolaiv
The Museum of the Underground Partisan Movement was opened in 1975 in a former mansion of the late 19th century, in which the scout, Hero of the Soviet Union V.A. lived in 1941-43. Lyagin is one of the leaders of the city underground, as evidenced by a memorial plaque on the wall of the building. The struggle of the inhabitants of the Nikolaev region against the fascist invaders is shown in an interesting collection of the museum, represented by documents, photographs and objects of that time. These are fictitious medical certificates, passes and passports, German seals made by underground workers to save young people from being taken to Germany and organize prisoner-of-war escapes from a concentration camp.
Small arms, military uniforms, models of military equipment, war posters, newsreels with the history of the region and memories of war veterans are exhibited. The exhibition "Vulture Secretly Removed" presents materials on political repressions in the region, starting from the second half of the 1930s.
