The children's town "Skazka" was opened on May 19, 1982 on the site of the former city market. Various exotic plants grow in the park with an area of 2.5 hectares: tulip tree, ginkgo, hibiscus, deutsia and others. There is a concert pavilion, a wooden fortress, a medieval stone castle, a model of the Buyan sailboat, the first ship built at the Nikolaev shipyard in 1790, two lighthouses, a real steam locomotive, a carousel with a learned cat and a mermaid from A.S. Pushkin’s fairy tale, a planetarium , a Ferris wheel, an autodrome, a sundial, a decorative pool with fountains spouting from fish sculptures, a game room with board games, a monument to the Little Humpbacked Horse.
On holidays, theatrical celebrations, concerts, sports competitions, festivals, exhibitions of children's creativity, competitions of children's drawings on asphalt are held in the children's town. Entrance to the park is free, tickets are purchased for rides.
