Nicholas Cathedral
St. Nicholas Cathedral, St. Nicholas Cathedral, Cathedral of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker
Ukraine, Nizhyn
Nicholas Cathedral is located in the very center of the city. It was built by the Cossacks in the middle of the 17th century and is one of the first temples made in the Ukrainian Baroque style. The five-domed cathedral looks the same from any vantage point. In Soviet times, the temple was turned into a warehouse, and then a house of culture. In 1990, it was transferred to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
