Scythian ramparts - a monument of archeology - an ancient settlement of the 7th-6th centuries BC. 4 km southeast of Nemirov on the banks of the river. Estuary, with an area of more than 145 hectares, surrounded by a huge rampart more than 4 km along the perimeter, with eight gaps for the passage of streams and a deep ditch. Planned scientific excavations on the territory of the ancient settlement have been carried out since 1909 at the initiative of the daughter of the owner of the adjacent lands, Maria Shcherbatova, then the remains of the Trypillia settlement were found. In the center of the settlement, at its highest point, there is an inner fortification - Detinets. During further research, which continued until the end of the 1980s, the horizons of the Trypillia, Scythian and Slavic cultures were explored.
