The Dominican church in Tulchin was built during 1786-1817 at the expense of Stanislav Potocki, as a small copy of St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome. Here Count Potocki married his wife Sofia. Once upon a time, the church was connected to the
Pototsky Palace by poplar alley. In 1832, after the First Polish Uprising, the church was transferred to the Orthodox Church and in October 1835 it was consecrated into the Church of the Nativity. In 1928, the church was closed and converted into a house of culture and a theater; at one time, a sports school was located here. Divine services in the temple resumed in 1991, now it is the Orthodox Cathedral of Tulchin. An equestrian monument to Generalissimo A.V. Suvorov was erected in front of the cathedral. The building of the former church is an architectural monument in the style of early classicism.
