Mogilev-Podolsky Museum of Local Lore, founded in 1928, is housed in an architectural monument - the former house of the merchant Halperin, built in 1905 in the Art Nouveau style. The museum collection includes about 20,000 items, including archaeological finds from the Trypillia culture period, numismatics, phaleristics, weapons of the 17th-19th centuries, furniture from the early 20th century, a collection of minerals from all points of the former USSR. The ethnographic department presents rural household utensils and clothes, a collection of works of arts and crafts of Podolsk masters. A separate section of the exposition tells about famous figures of literature and culture who visited the city at different times.
