Chetvertinsky Palace in Komargorod
Chetvertinsky Palace near Komargorod
Ukraine, Mohyliv-Podilskyi
The palace of the princes Chetvertinsky in their ancestral village of Komargorod was built in the 1830s in the middle of a large park. In the second half of the 19th century, the brick building underwent a major restructuring, its facades were decorated with carved wood and half-timbered houses in the spirit of Swiss hunting castles - chalets. The greenhouse adjoining the main facade was dismantled. The main alley planted with fir trees leads to the main entrance; more than 100 species of trees and shrubs grow in a 2.5-hectare park. Now one of the buildings of the local agricultural lyceum is located in the building of the former palace.
