Museum of the resort Mirgorod
Museum resort Mirgorod
Ukraine, Myrhorod
Since 1998, the Folk Museum of the History of the Mirgorod Resort has been operating on the second floor of a small administrative building on the territory of the Khorol sanatorium. It includes an exposition hall dedicated to the history of the resort, an exhibition hall and a memorial room for the founder of the resort, I.A. Zubkovsky. It was the zemstvo doctor Zubkovsky who in 1912 discovered the healing properties of Mirgorod mineral water, extracted from a depth of 674 meters. On his initiative, a chemical analysis of the local water was carried out, it turned out that the Mirgorod water is similar to the healing mineral waters of the German Baden-Baden springs.
After that, the construction of the resort began, which now includes 4 year-round sanatoriums, where diseases of the stomach, intestines, liver, and pancreas are treated. On the territory of the resort there is a magnificent park, a palace of culture with a concert hall for 1000 people, a boat station, a beach on the Khorol River. The exposition presents a model of the first resort hydropathic, opened in 1917. In the memorial room of Zubkovsky, you can see things that belonged to Ivan Andreevich: a French wall clock, a table with a chair, a wardrobe and a chest.
