The Mirgorod Literary and Memorial Museum of David Guramishvili opened on May 12, 1969. The exposition of the museum tells about the different stages of the life and work of the poet - a classic of Georgian literature of the 18th century, David Georgievich Guramishvili, who lived in Mirgorod for the last thirty-two years of his life and was buried in the city cemetery. The poet settled in Mirgorod after several wounds received in battles against the troops of the Ottoman Empire, who were trying to capture Georgia. Among 2000 exhibits: works of the poet and books about him; items of national life of Georgia and Ukraine of the past centuries; examples of weapons of the XVIII century; folk clothes and shoes; products of local craftsmen; Georgian souvenirs; collection of Georgian coins of the 17th-18th centuries. Since 2006, a literary club has been operating at the museum, where literary, musical and theater evenings are organized. Since 2011, the museum has been holding master classes in embroidery and beading. In front of the museum building there is a monument-high relief of Guramishvili.
