Mariupol mosque

Mosque of Suleiman the Magnificent and Roksolana, Mariupol Mosque, Sultan Suleiman Mosque
Ukraine, Mariupol
The Mariupol Mosque with one minaret was built in 2007 in Mariupol's Seaside Park with sponsorship from the Turkish metal merchant Salih Jihan and the city's Azerbaijani community. The mosque is dedicated to the Turkish Sultan Suleiman the Great and his wife Roksolana, and the Suleimaniye Jami Mosque in Istanbul served as its prototype. This is not only a functioning temple, but also an Islamic cultural center. The mosque with a minaret and a well-groomed courtyard have become a new landmark of Mariupol, as well as a popular place for wedding photos.

Interesting and educational place. Entrance is allowed regardless of religion, at the gate there are points of behavior on the territory, photo and video shooting is free. A marble building with amazing ups and downs, a park with a lake and fountains. Here you can touch the history of our Ukrainian Roksolana, think about the meaning of life and enjoy the natural beauties. The kids frolicked and enjoyed the territory, I sat on the marble lava. Charming place. I highly recommend visiting and the photos are amazing.

Spring! I want to walk, not work. I did so. I went to Seaside Park. I knew that there was a mosque there, but I never came close to it. But in vain! It turned out that it was completely made of white marble - the building itself, and the minaret, and fountains and benches-tables. The beauty! I was in different temples - Orthodox, Catholic, Buddhist, Hindu. But I have never been to a mosque. It didn't work this time either. At first I was afraid to go inside alone, then I found myself a company. But it turned out to be closed! It's not meant to be.
