The Maria Zankovetska Theater is located in the city center near the Lviv Opera and Ballet Theatre. It took 5 years to build and was completed in 1842, the building is an example of the architectural style of Viennese classicism. In 2002, the theater was given the status of an academic theater. Currently, there are performances of classical works by domestic and foreign playwrights.
