The monumental architectural ensemble, which rises on St. George's Hill in Lviv, has long been the main cathedral of Ukrainian Greek Catholics. The first temple dates back to 1280 and has always been a holy place ever since. The complex includes a cathedral, a bell tower, metropolitan chambers and chapter houses, a large park-garden. 18th century sculptures on the church are masterpieces by John Pinzel. The interiors of the temple also impress with the richness and variety of iconography. Opposite the cathedral is the Palace of the Metropolitans, built by the architect Fessinger in the XVIII century in the Rococo style with some touches of classicism.→
