Znesenye Park is a regional landscape park (since 1993) in Lviv. Just a 20-minute walk from the city center, a landscape rich in monuments of nature, history, and culture has been preserved. In the park, there are rare steppe plants, bare sandstones and limestones with fossilized remains of marine fauna, forested hills, valleys with lakes and streams. The park is located on the wooded hillside of Roztochie, in the area called "Kaiserwald" (Kaiser forest). In Znesene there is Mount Stefan, Mount Lion (Bald or Sandy), Mount Baba (Rod), Mount Khometz. Through the territory of the park, which is located on the watershed of the Baltic and Black Seas, the Khomets, Gluboky and Krivchitsky streams flow. The total area of ​​the park is 154 hectares, including the protected area - 312.1 hectares.
Here, on the northern slopes of Roztochie, early settlements were founded in the region of Lvov. There are three settlements almost nearby: 1) the Neolithic and Bronze Age, IV-II millennium BC; 2) IX-V centuries BC and XIII-XVII centuries AD; 3) XIII-XIX centuries. Ancient Slavic pagan temples were found on the "Znesenye" ​​on the "Svyatovidov field" (X-XI) and Mount Baba (IX-XI and XIII centuries), which is visited by neo-pagans. Since the territory of the park was historically part of the suburban village of Znesenie, the park has a residential development, the Church of the Ascension of the Lord and St. Elijah, the Church of St. Wojciech, the old Znesnesko cemetery, a pharmaceutical factory and a glass factory. On the territory of the park there is also an old defense tower of the XIII-XIV centuries, tracks for downhill skiing and the Shevchenkovsky Hay skansen.
