One of the relatively new Lviv monuments. The monument was erected in 2001 according to the project of sculptors Vasyl Yarych and Roman Romanovych, architect Yarema Churylyk. The monument with a height of about 10 meters is installed near the Halytska Gate, one of the two ancient entrances to the city, which does not exist today. The monument is made of granite and bronze. Cast in bronze, the horseman stands on a stone pedestal decorated with a frieze with a trident in the center and a royal crown above.→
