I love this building in Lviv very much. And despite the fact that its architecture was often criticized and often remodeled, now it looks quite fashionable and is also a landmark of Lviv - 26.02. In 1980, by decision of the City Council No. 130, the house was recognized as an architectural monument of local importance (security number 185). Why "George"? At one time the owner of the hotel was the merchant Georg (Georges) Hoffmann (1778-1839). And so it happened - the Georges Hotel (although initially the names of the hotels at this place were different: "Under the Three Hooks", and since 1811 "De Russie").→
