The Lviv Eaglet Memorial is located in the southeastern part of the
Lychakiv Cemetery. It is dedicated to the memory of Polish soldiers who died during the Polish-Ukrainian war of 1918-1919. Eaglets were called young Polish soldiers, who made up most of the defenders of the city.
The memorial was built in 1926, but destroyed by the Soviet authorities in 1951. The re-opening took place on June 24, 2005.
