The Dedushitsky Palace is located in the city center near the
Andrey Sheptytsky National Museum in Lviv. It was built at the end of the 18th century and rebuilt in the classical style in the next century. In 1868, the building was bought by Count Vladimir Dedushitsky, and two years later he opened a museum of nature here. Today, the State Museum of Natural History of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine has about 360 thousand exhibits in its collection, the most famous of them are the remains of a mammoth found in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
