The Church and Monastery of St. Onuphrius in Lviv (36, Bogdan Khmelnytsky Street) is a monument of history and architecture in Lviv.

In 1550, a stone church was built, which became the core of the current one, and in 1585, a monastery. The monastery was repeatedly burned and devastated, but rebuilt again. It suffered significant damage during the Turkish siege of 1672. It was rebuilt in 1680. In 1701, the chapel of the Holy Trinity was added to the church on the south side, and the eastern part was completed in 1821. The last changes refer to the restoration of 1902. The architect I. Levinsky, according to the project of the architect E. Kovacs, adds the northern nave. This is a stone, three-nave, three-apse temple, typical of Ukrainian architecture, with two domes over the side naves and a decorative dome over the central part. Covered with cross vaults.
The Church of St. Onuphrius is a monument of special cultural and historical significance. In this monastery, Ivan Fedorov created the first printed books in Ukraine "Apostle" and "Primer". Here he was also buried in 1583. Until 1883, a stone slab stood over his grave with the inscription “Ioan Fedorovich drukar Moskvitin, who updated it with his diligence. Reposed in Lvov to the fate of AFPG dekamvria Є. Drukar of books before the unseen.

In 1977, a three-figure composition depicting the great first printer with assistants (sculptor A. Galyan) was installed in the courtyard. After the restoration of 1972-1974. Ivan Fedorov Museum, a branch of the Lviv Art Gallery, was opened here. The museum was closed in the early 1990s.

Monastery, XVII-XIX centuries. The building was built in 1683. Restructuring of the end of the 18th century. and the beginning of the 19th century. changed the interior layout of the building. Brick, two-story, in plan - an elongated rectangle. A bell tower adjoins the building from the north. Partially preserved vaults in the premises of the first and second floors.
Bell tower, 1681-1822 The architect Pavel Romanin took part in the construction. Located on the same axis with the church, it is the main entrance to the territory of the monastery. A grand staircase built in 1780 leads from the street to the gate. The bell tower was built on in 1820-1822. It is a stone, square in plan, four-tiered tower with a through arched passage in the first tier. Covered with a hipped roof. The niches on the facade are similar in shape to the niches that cut through the walls of the church.
