Lutsk Castle is one of the oldest castles in Ukraine, a symbol of the city of Lutsk. The castle was first built in the 11th century by Rurik, then it was just a small wooden structure. In the XIV century, Prince Lubart rebuilt it on brick, in this form the castle has survived to this day, only slightly modified and restored.

Good viewing platform
I have been to our Castle many times, but for the first time I went up to the observation deck in the Lubart Tower (aka Entrance), to a height of 27m. During the ascent there will be a stop in three halls with expositions, the most interesting of which is an exhibition of forged sculptures. At the very top, the best panorama of the Old Town opens. They are allowed into the tower only when accompanied by a guide for an additional fee. payment 10 UAH /person + the price of an entrance ticket to the Castle itself is 20 UAH.→

Lutsk castle
Lutsk castle or Lubart's castle is the main attraction of Lutsk. One of the best preserved castles in Ukraine from the time of the Lithuanian principality. The entrance tower of the castle is depicted on the banknote of 200 hryvnias, so everyone saw it. Were in Lutsk passing through, but 3-4 hours is enough to visit the castle. The guide was booked right at the castle, and did not regret it. Very interesting led the tour, climbed to the roof of the Entrance Tower. All Lutsk at a glance. Be sure to visit the Bell Museum (in one wing of the fortress).→
