The main synagogue was built in 1897. The building, built in the Moorish style of red brick, was the Jewish religious center of the city for 20 years. In Soviet times, a club was located here, and in 1994 the synagogue was returned to the Jewish community. Currently, the museum "Jews of Elisavetgrad" operates here, as well as the Jewish Music and Drama Theater.
