Waterfall White stones
Waterfall White stones
Ukraine, Kryvyi Rih
The 12-meter-high White Stones waterfall is located at the dam of the Karachunovsky reservoir in the suburbs of Krivoy Rog. The waterfall was formed on the granite light rapids of the Ingulets River, after the construction in 1932 of a two-hundred-meter dam of a metallurgical plant. In summer, there are many vacationers and fishermen near the waterfall, because the place is famous for fish and crayfish. Due to the strong flow, the waterfall does not freeze in frosts and flows over icy stones, forming icicles on them, similar to stalactites.
