Park them. Alexandra Pushkin
Park im. Oleksandra Pushkina
Ukraine, Kryvyi Rih
The park named after A.S. Pushkin was created at the beginning of the 20th century as the City Garden of Nikopol, on the initiative and at the expense of the merchant Ignatius Yerlashov, who bought the site from the Turbaba Cossack family. Alleys led to the embankment of the Dnieper, lined with roses on both sides, beautiful fountains worked, gazebos were equipped for relaxation, with a view of the Dnieper and floodplains, a billiard room, a buffet, a restaurant worked, an orchestra played in the evenings. Since 1936, the park has been named after A.S. Pushkin, whose bust was made by local sculptor Vladimir Kolomiytsev. In the 1950s, the park was surrounded by a metal fence, which was cut down in the 1990s. Swings and carousels worked in the park, there was a summer theater.
For many years the park was neglected, but in 2007 attempts were made to clear the territory of the park and restore the monument to Pushkin. In 2013, work was continued on the improvement of the park, which has every chance of becoming the pride of Nikopol.
