The monument to the founder of Krivoy Rog - Cossack Rog - was opened on May 28, 2011, on the day of the city, with a theatrical performance on this occasion. The bronze sculpture, designed by Alexander Vasyakin, depicts Horn holding a horse by the bridle at the moment when the Cossack descended to the ground at the confluence of the Saksagan River into the Ingulets. The total height of the monument, together with a pedestal made of a block of iron ore, is 5.30 m. In front of the monument lies a stone with the inscription “Kozak Rig.
