Krivoy Rog Botanical Garden is located on the northern outskirts of the city. It was founded in 1980. The garden occupies a huge area of 52 hectares, on which over 3,500 plants grow, many of which are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine. The Botanical Garden belongs to the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and is a favorite vacation spot for the people of Kryvyi Rih.
