Family nest of magnates Vishnevetsky
Family nest of princes Vyshnevetsky, Vyshnevetsky castle, Manor Vyshnevets
Ukraine, Kremenets
An old place 18 km south of Kremenets, in the Zbarazh district. The first mention of this settlement dates back to 1395, when Prince Vitovt gave Dmitry Koribut Vyshnyvets, where he laid a castle on the right bank of the city of Gorini (now the village of Stary Vyshnevets). The settlement is famous for the fact that it was here that the relative nest of the magnates of the Vyshnevetskys was located. Upon the death of Vyshnevetsky in 1744, the estate passes to the Mnishiki. They enlarge the palace, turn it into a first-class magnate's residence. A wonderful art gallery, interiors decorated in the late rococo style made the palace in Vyshnivtsi the most beautiful in Volhynia.
In 1852, Count Andrzej Mniszek sold Vyshnivets to Princess Abamelek, but already in 1857 the palace became the property of Count Vladimir de Broel-Plater, and already from him - for some small debt - the house passed to Tolya. It was at this time that many paintings, part of the glorious library and other valuable things were taken from the palace to Russia. The palace is located in a beautiful old park. Now the building is used as a club, library and the like.
The complex consists of the palace itself, 2 outbuildings, 2 gates and a park. In 1395 this fortress was mentioned for the first time, and its planning and defense system finally took shape. The complex experienced the next restructuring at the end of the 18th century. During the First World War, the building was destroyed, and in the 20s. XX Art. again rebuilt with the participation of the famous architect of modernism V. Gorodetsky (he erected a Catholic church and a house with chimeras in Kyiv). But again the war - and again the destruction of the palace. A major overhaul of the building took place in the 1950s. The park was founded in the 18th century. architect D. Mikler.
